About Allison

From Disney and Star Wars to Albert Einstein and Jimi Hendrix, Allison has painted portraits across celebrity genres, cultural influences, and philanthropic movements. Art Business News named her an “Artist to Watch,” as she has painted for The Walt Disney Company, Warner Brothers, MTV, VH1, The Grammys, and Playboy. Allison’s art has been highlighted on multiple hit television shows such as The Girls Next Door, The Apprentice, and The Today Show.

Heavily influenced by Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, her art style is a reflection of her inviting personality, way of life, and dedication to those she loves most in life. Allison doesn’t meet strangers; she walks into rooms with monochromatic neutrality and a healthy dose of curiosity, while always seeking to find the pop of color in each person’s foundation to highlight their monochromatic details. Each layer of color of a painting is a statement of the layers of commitment she has in helping others see beauty in the world, whether that beauty is in a painting, the nature surrounding them, or within themselves.

Allison shares a life with her number one supporter and wife, as well as a tail-wagging and treat-loving, doodle dog. She receives never-ending support from her parents, sister, and extended family members. Among the souvenirs she has collected throughout her travels around the world as an international artist are heroes and friends from various corners of the planet.

“When I first began, my subjects were purely people I liked or looked up to. I painted portraits of friends and music groups that I listened to. Painting their images was the best way I could express how much they meant to me.”

Magical Beginnings

Allison grew up in South Florida, with her built-in support network of her parents and sister. Gaining her first pair of Mickey ears as a toddler, Disney was one of the first places Allison observed artistic creativity, finding the magic of making bright colors pop, and learning life can be whatever you make of it. and where her first professional exhibit took place.

At the young age of 17, Allison’s work was first exhibited at the Greenwich Village Art Gallery in New York. She sold her artwork during her brief stint at Skidmore College, where she later decided to leave an academic career and jump into her professional career.

Her supportive parents offered her a deal — she could drop out to pursue her art career if she attended the New York Art Expo and her work was recognized. Allison sold three paintings at the New York Art Expo, developed beneficial relationships, and never returned to Skidmore College.

“Art should be something that liberates your soul, provokes the imagination, and encourages people to go further.”

— Keith Haring
