It's that time of year again....summertime travel! I am headed out to meet the Rhapsody of the Seas for an Alaskan Inside Passage cruise. Alaska has been one of my most favorite destinations to explore. My spirit feels good when I am there...I love the wildlife, the history, the colors that surround me there, and I've been lucky to have had very mild and nice weather. Since we leave out of Seattle, I thought it appropriate to post an EARLY pencil drawing (unfinished) of Jimi Hendrix. The last time I was in Seattle, I took a "Little" side-trip to Jimi's grave. It was gorgeous! I spend a lot of time painting Jimi Hendrix...not only for his popularity as an American icon, but also he took some amazing photographs! I am always finding new shots of Jimi to work on which makes him one of my favorite subjects.Happy Summer, my friends!!
