The ultimate Disney fan event is almost here!! D23 is on August 19-21, 2011 in Anaheim, California! Hope to see you all there!!

"TRON" is a 30" x "40" original painting on wood with 3-D wooden hand-painted letters going down the left side. The finished mounted size of this piece is 36" x 48." I know there are a lot of Tron fans out there...this piece is something that has been brewing in my brain for a while now ever since I re-watched the original movie. I am super happy with its outcome! Come see it in person!!

D23 Expo 2011

It's that time again! Time to head out to Anaheim, California for the ultimate Disney event! D23 is a Disney Expo being held at the convention center from August 19-21, 2011. For those of you who may remember with great fondness the Disneyana Conventions of yesteryear, D23 sets out to fill your heart again with magic, the way only Disney can! The name D23 refers to Disney and 1923, the year the company was founded. It's really a fun event...lots of exhibits and showcases, even cameo appearances by some of the original Mouseketeers!

This year I have put together a very special show debuting there...all the new originals are painted on wood ( a medium that I really am enjoying working on) and each one has some sort of 3-dimensional effect. My showcase piece is called "Surfer Mickey" and you can see part of it in the photograph...Mickey stands about 3.5 feet tall and will stand in front of his surfboard that is taller than me! August 19 is just around the corner...I will post some more images of other pieces in the show as we get closer to the opening. For those of you in the Los Angeles area, or if you want to make a little trip out to Disneyland, I would LOVE to see you!
