I love Audrey Hepburn! She was an amazing actress and humanitarian. She was someone to be admired. A few weeks ago I was filing some photographs and magazine clippings (my archives, in a sense) which I use as reference points for some of my portrait paintings. I came across this great image of Audrey and couldn't help but feel that itch to paint it....so I did!!One of my favorite parts of this piece is the pink color of the background. I mixed up just enough of it to complete the painting and now I am wishing I remembered the exact formula to achieve it again! This piece is 24" x 36" on gallery-wrapped canvas and I will probably include her in my next show...
