Retro Tuesday

Happy Tuesday!

Today's photograph is definitely a blast from the past (circa 1994)! This is the first wooden crate that was ever built to ship my paintings. This crate was expertly engineered with a flip-top lid and padlocks to make unpacking the 48" x 48" canvases easier. The final destination of this huge crate was ArtExpo New York at the Jacob Javits Center in NYC. Some of the portraits for that first show included celebrities like Baryshnikov, Marilyn Monroe, Barbra Streisand, Jack Nicholson, and James Dean. Participation in this show proved to be a pivotal point in my career, as it encouraged me to continue to follow my dream and do what I love.
